The "status" on the schedule is set based on events that happen within the encounter (unless a user manually changes). 

Here is information related to the status column detail about what actions will trigger each status on the schedule:

Arrived: An appointment is checked in 

Rooming in Progress: Someone not the encounter provider opens the patient workspace from an exam room workstation OR Someone who is not the encounter provider documents a chief complaint, documents vitals, or reviews medications

Waiting for Provider: (Rooming ends) Someone who is not the encounter provider closes the patient workspace in an exam room OR Someone who is not the encounter provider pends a note in that encounter

Visit in Progress: The encounter provider opens the patient workspace from an exam room workstation OR The encounter provider documents vitals, reviews medications and reviews problem list

Visit Complete: The AVS is printed OR the patient is checked out by front desk OR the encounter provider closes the patient workspace from an exam room workstation
