EPIC has a variety of different Print screens. Here are the different options.
Order Transmittal:
Orders: Labs, lab labels, Referrals, Medication are pre-determined based on your workstation. Each workstation is set up by EHR Support Analyst to print these items based on where the workstation is located.
*If your workstation is moved make sure to open a support ticket with your workstation ID and where you need to print for Order Transmittal.
**You will not see the print screen for this it will automatically print.
Other Print Screens:
1. This print box allows you to select where you want to print. Select the arrow (>) next to the Printer to expand the options. You have the option of:
Recent Network Printers: Printers you have recently used in EPIC
Local Printers: Printers that are set up on your workstation by IT
Network Printers: Printers set up and named by OCHIN. These start with SA177
Use the Search bar at the top and enter SA177 to get all of the OCHIN EPIC built printers.
Select the printer of your choice and select Print.
The next time you get this screen it will be the printer you last selected.
2. This print box is ONLY what is set as default on the FHLC Workstation your are signed in on. If you need a new default printer listed here, open a support ticket with IT to set your default printer. *If you have changed your default printer make sure to properly log out of EPIC, close open EPIC browser and then reconnect.
- Select the Printer Icon
- Select the Arrow by the Printer
- Select Citrix Universal printer (from [your workstation id])
- Select Print
- Select the Printer Icon in the pop up
- Select the Microsoft Print to PDF (with the check mark) for your PDF Default Printer or ANY local printer that is installed on your computer
